In sub-Saharan Africa, where 60% of the population is under the age of 25, access to sexuality education and modern contraceptives remains critically limited. DSW responds to this urgent need through a multi-sectoral approach that combines community outreach, youth-led advocacy, and capacity-building. The organization expands access to youth-friendly health services by training peer educators and improving the quality and availability of information and care. Through mobile outreach clinics - Youth Trucks, DSW delivers counselling, contraceptives, and health education directly to underserved communities.
We have documented the transformative impact of DSW’s work across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Malawi for almost a decade.
